The FTSE Tradable Plus Index Series was launched to help overcome capacity issues when trading the small- and mid-cap European equity segments.
These indexes were designed with considerable input from key investment banks and focus on liquidity, tradability and therefore reduced costs. In addition to providing access to, and hedging against, the performance of a wide range of dynamic and growing companies within Europe, the indexes include stocks with only the highest levels of liquidity for these segments. They are designed to allow index-based tradable vehicles, including exchange traded funds (ETFs), futures and other structured products to benefit from lower market impact and volatility exposure risks when trading index constituents.
