The FTSE Canada Free Index Series includes a set of domestic equity indexes designed to provide Canadian market participants with benchmarks that reflect the opportunity set available to domestic investors. The indexes are market capitalization-weighted, and constituents are adjusted for free float.
The indexes are comprised of Canadian companies in the FTSE Global Equity Index Series (FTSE GEIS). To reflect the experience of a domestic Canadian investor, no adjustments are made for foreign ownership restrictions.
The FTSE Canada All Cap Domestic Index represents the performance of large, mid, and small cap companies, while the FTSE Canada Domestic Index includes large and mid cap companies.
